Details

En Fiende Att Dö För is a historical drama set in late August 1939, amidst rising tensions in Europe just days before the outbreak of World War II. A German expedition sets off to the Norwegian arctic islands of Svaldbard, formerly known as Spitsbergen, with the aim of proving the theory that all land on Earth was once connected before breaking up into separate continents.

The expedition consists of German members as well as a diverse group of individuals, including a Norwegian captain, a Russian crew, a Swedish and British explorer, and even a Jewish passenger. However, their mission takes an unexpected turn when Germany invades Poland and the war begins.

While waiting for instructions from their respective governments, the expedition members continue their search for evidence supporting the theory of Pangaea. However, the German government soon orders them to participate in a military operation to sink a British warship carrying 1200 soldiers, risking the lives and ideals of the crew.

Trapped on a small ship in the middle of icy waters, the crew faces a moral dilemma. Will they obey their German superiors or prioritize their own survival and loyalty to their respective countries? With no means of escape, the expedition becomes entangled in the chaos and uncertainty of war.

En Fiende Att Dö För explores the complex dynamics between individuals from different nations forced to work together in the midst of a global conflict, raising questions about loyalty, morality, and the pursuit of scientific truth.
